We have been wearing denim jeans for decades; however, many of us would not be aware of the adverse effects on the environment due to the manufacturing process of denim. Around 3,800 liters of water used and 33.4 kilograms of carbon dioxide emitted in the manufacturing of a single pair of jeans. To address this startling data, the denim industry needs to reuse, reduce wastage by breaking down products at the end of their life cycle and turning them into the basic constituents of new products, continuing the cycle as many times as possible.
The theme of Denim show at Gartex Texprocess India 2019 is DENIM 4.0 and the four pillars which will define the show are Sustainability, Circular Denim, Technology & Future Trends.
- Evolution in the manufacturing of denim will lead to a SUSTAINABLE environment
- Reuse, repair and recycling will help in creating a CIRCULAR ECONOMY
- Innovations in the existing TECHNOLOGY will lead to less wastage of water during the manufacturing of denim
- FUTURE TRENDS and new designs in denim will aid in circularity of denim
Over 50 Exhibitors will help to facilitate a more circular model in denim Industry by being a part of the second edition of Denim Show at Gartex Texprocess India.
